Father Joshua West, LC

Fr. Joshua was born in Naples, Italy, and grew up in Virginia – the oldest of six children.  Despite the Italian connection, he is all-American. He joined the novitiate of the Legion of Christ in 1996 and was ordained a priest in 2009.  He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Theology and a Licentiate in Philosophy from Regina Apostolorum in Rome. As a priest, he has served in various capacities as a lover of life, vocation director for the Legion of Christ, Regnum Christi chaplain, school chaplain, and retreat center director. His attraction to the priesthood was to be a missionary and bring people to know the joy of Christ. He loves all sports, especially basketball, skittles, reading, people, and the outdoors. Fr Joshua thinks the beach is better than the mountains. Feel free to reach Fr Joshua at (984) 742-0362 and jwest@legionaries.org

Amy Adkins - Academic Advisor

I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. From El Paso I moved to San Antonio Texas to attend St. Mary's University where I got my Bachelors degree and played soccer. I then moved up north to Chicago, where I had to buy a real jacket and earned my MS and PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. I have been in the Biomedical Engineering Department at NC State since Fall of 2021 as an Assistant Teaching Professor. Beginning in college and continuing ever since I have enjoyed learning more about my faith and deepening my relationship with God through involvement with my parish and small faith groups. I also enjoy being outside, playing soccer, running, hiking, and trying new activities.

Fun Fact: I can clap with one hand.

Dani Irving- Development Director

Dani is an ocean-loving beach girl, originally from Florida, and she and her engineer-husband Chris got married in St. Augustine, Florida in 2001 at the spot where the first Catholic Mass was celebrated in the United States. She has two sons Christopher (11) and Patrick (8) who were brought to her through the blessing of adoption and keep her on her toes! She loves our beautiful faith, especially Eucharistic Adoration, the rosary, her weekly prayer group, attending daily Mass, novenas & she is currently obsessed with the Hallow app. When Dani is not singing Praise & Worship at the top of her lungs driving around in her NC State-red Jeep or attending her sons’ sporting events, you’ll find her snuggling with her Yorkie puppy Maggie, boating, eating sushi or planning her next trip to the beach. Oh, and Dani smiles a lot. Smiling is her favorite. If you see her, be sure to say hi!

Fun Fact: Dani was a White House intern in college.

Andrea Tilton - Bookkeeper

I studied Music Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Moved to L.A. after teaching Elementary School music in Maine for 3 years. I have 2 sons, Dana and Michael, and they are my favorite humans. I have been with Campus Ministry for 10 years.

Fun fact: I was on the 405 Freeway at the same time as OJ Simpson in his Blanco Bronco

Matthew Sweeney - Finance Director

I am one of five kids in a Catholic family and I grew up in Tallahassee, FL. My home parish was blessed with a large homeschool group, so my Mom homeschooled all five of us through 8th grade while my Dad practiced as a doctor. My siblings and I spent most of our time playing sports and hanging out with family friends. I went to college for math and finance at Stetson University where I began to take my faith as my own. After graduating, I took a job at an investment office in Naples for two years before moving to North Carolina to start my current job as the finance director of a clinical lab. I have been involved in the Catholic young adult community in the Triangle since moving here. I met Andrew Kaveler through this community, and he asked if I would consider serving on the CCM Finance Council in 2022.

Fun Fact: I'm getting married in December.
