Student LEADERSHIP TEAM

The Leadership Team (or LT for short) does all the behind-the-scenes heavy lifting for our ministry: planning events, organizing room reservations for on-campus Masses, leading the music for our choir, running the social media, and helping Fr. Josh with anything they can! If you see one of these smiling faces around campus, say hello!

Communications Coordinator - Yavin Hamm

Role: Serves as co-coordinator for marketing and outreach efforts.

Bio: Hello! I’m in my last year at NC State and it is quite busy because I’m involved in quite a few things, but I don’t regret any of it! Wolfpack Worship Night is one of my favorite times every week and I strongly encourage anyone who is thinking about coming to show up. Spending time with Jesus is always a good decision, and Teri and Jeremy make it easy with their amazing food! In addition to being involved in CCM I am the vice president of Students for Life at NC State.

Hometown: Cary, NC

Year: Senior

Major: Computer Science

Fun fact: I am a black belt in Hapkido and I help teach classes at the Apex Community Center. The instructors there are all volunteers so it’s a great place to go for a friendly community and a low price.

Men’s Ministry (ESTO VIR) President - Lawrence Nazarian

Role: Serves as a general coordinator for the men’s ministry and acts as the ministry’s leadership representative.

Bio: Hey y’all! I can’t express how privileged I am to represent Esto Vir and the men’s ministry here at CCM. Some things I like people to know about me is that I love making people laugh, will always have a smile on my face (unless the Wolfpack or the Red Sox lose) and I will never back down from making a new friend. Always feel free to message me and ask about how you can get involved in Esto Vir. God bless!

Bio: Hey everyone my name is Nathaniel and I'm so excited to be your Liturgy Coordinator in 2024! It's an honor to be entrusted with this responsibility, and I strive to help the Sunday masses run as smoothly as possible. If you're ever interested in helping out at the Sunday Masses, just reach out to me! I would love to help you become more involved in the Mass; it's a terrific way to serve Christ. Some facts about me; I love basketball, especially the NBA, as well as ultimate frisbee. I also enjoy road trips, especially to go be out in nature and admire the beautiful creation our Lord has given us. If you want to contact me, my email is nsnaguib@ncsu.edu

Communications Coordinator - Caitlyn Jennings

Role: Serves as co-coordinator for marketing and outreach efforts.

Bio: Hey besties! My name is Caitlyn and I'm a junior (by credits....) here at State (GOOO PACK). I love my major so much, as well as my minor in Art and Design. I'm so pumped for this year, it's been lit so far! When I'm not balling out at CCM or doing schoolwork, I'm usually working at my coffee shop. This is a plug to stop by and get some coffee at Sonder, made by yours truly (Father Daniel approves ;)). A silly little fun fact about me (and honestly a personality trait of mine) is that I absolutely love Saint Thérèse and Blessed Frassati!! I'm always here for you for absolutely anything or for any questions you may have, don't hesitate to reach out- my email is cajenni3@ncsu.edu!

Service Coordinator -Owen Evans

Role: Serves as coordinator for service projects and community outreach events

Bio: What’s up guys—my name’s Owen! You may know me as the guy who doesn’t even go here—I actually attend Thales College in Wake Forest. In my (nonexistent) downtime, I love to draw, play video games, workout, and engage in goofball activities with my family of friends! CCM has been so welcoming and such a blessing as I’ve grown closer to Christ and met some of my ride-or-dies here during my college career. I believe we as a Church are at our best when we’re going out into the world to share Christ with the downtrodden on the fringes. We’re blessed with so many brothers and sisters in Raleigh in need of our help. Some have been thrown away by the world, others just need a friendly ear to listen to how life’s going. So, I’m looking forward to helping CCM share the gentle and selfless Love of Christ with those in our city! Looking forward to meeting you (or seeing you again) around campus!

Hometown: Durham, NC

Year: Senior

Major: Entrepreneurial Business & Liberal Arts

Fun fact: I’m obsessed with the worldbuilding in novels, movies, and video games. Whether it’s reciting the twelve districts of The Hunger Games, philosophizing about the chaotic masterpiece that is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, or reading way too much into Splatoon's story, I’m always down to talk about the fictional worlds and deeper meanings authors and storytellers put into their work!

Treasurer - Eugene Ngina

Role: Helps handle the ministry’s finances.

Bio:  It all started in Kenya back in 2005 when both my parents forgot to show up on my birthdate. To make up for that fact, I was raised Catholic and received the sacrament of the Eucharist when I was 9 and then received Confirmation at age 11 with my patron saint being St. Stephen. I study Political Science, and I am set to graduate in the Fall of 2025 with plans of taking a gap year before attending law school for a future career in appellate litigation. On my free time I quite enjoy reading cases, knitting, being a know-it-all connoisseur about Kenyan teas and working out.

Hometown: Raleigh, NC

Year: Senior

Majors: Political Science

Fun Fact: I’m fluent in three languages: Kikuyu, Swahili and English. I also know a bit of German

Music Coordinator- Olivia Smith

Role: Serves as music leader for the 10:30 Mass choir.

Bio: Hi everyone, I'm Olivia Smith and I serve as the music leader for the 10:30 Mass's student choir. I love expressing my faith through music and CCM has provided the best opportunity to do so. The 10:30 choir is student led and, with the help of the choir, I pick out music every week depending on the mass readings. Our Mass choir is open to everyone with any music or singing level. I love meeting new people and we can never have enough people in choir whether it be singing or playing. So, if you want to sing, play an instrument, or have any song requests just let me know!

Hometown: Woodstock, GA

Year: Junior

Major: English with a Film concentration and Journalism minor

Fun fact: I am a part of HerCampus NCSU which is a blog style magazine where I like to write about my love of reading, film, and anything else that comes to mind.
